CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw has been found in eventcatalog sdk up to 2.29.0. This vulnerability affects the function getCustomDoc/writeCustomDoc/rmCustomDoc of the file packages/sdk/src/custom-docs.ts of the component Custom Documentation Helpers. This manipulation of the argument options.path causes path traversal. It is possible to launch the attack on the local host. Upgrading to version 2.30.0 is able to resolve this issue. Patch name: a4f072a03f440d58230092e88d8b4893f4c6d6ca. The affected component should be upgraded. The vendor was contacted early, responded in a very professional manner and quickly released a fixed version of the affected product. |
| Camaleon CMS before 2.9.3 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows users with only the media permission to write arbitrary files by supplying ../ sequences in the name parameter. Attackers can send a base64 data: URI to the crop_url media action to write an ERB template into a theme's views directory, which executes when rendered. |
| A vulnerability was identified in UbiquitousLearning mllm up to 2.0.2. The affected element is the function load_model of the file pymllm/mobile/convertor/__init__.py of the component Convertor. The manipulation of the argument shard_file leads to path traversal. The attack needs to be performed locally. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| A flaw was found in GNU patch. An attacker can achieve arbitrary file creation outside the intended working directory by enticing a user or automated workflow to apply a specially crafted patch file. Due to missing validation during automatic patch reversal, absolute file paths in patch headers are accepted rather than rejected. Consequently, the utility can create files in arbitrary locations with the permissions of the executing user. |
| Backstage is an open framework for building developer portals. Prior to 3.9.2 and from 4.0.0 until 4.0.2, DefaultCatalogRulesEnforcer in @backstage/plugin-catalog-backend compares the raw location.target URL against catalog.rules, while URL readers canonicalize the same URL before fetching it. An authenticated user with catalog.location.create permission can use percent-encoded path segments to make an untrusted URL match a trusted location pattern even though the canonical URL resolves outside that scope. This admits entity content from an untrusted source as trusted, while further downstream consequences depend on deployment configuration. This issue is fixed in versions 3.9.2 and 4.0.2. |
| Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('path traversal') in Windows Libarchive allows an unauthorized attacker to perform tampering over a network. |
| A path traversal vulnerability exists in the Mautic Asset API. When creating a local asset through the API, the supplied file path is not restricted to the asset upload directory. An authenticated API user with permission to create assets can register any file that is readable by the web server process as a Mautic asset. When the asset is published, its public download URL serves the contents of that file without authentication. This allows the attacker to read arbitrary files from the server, including Mautic configuration files containing the database password, secret key, and mail (SMTP) credentials, as well as system files and any other file readable by the web server user. Exposed credentials can be used to access the database or other connected services, and anyone with the public asset URL can retrieve the file contents. |
| Path Traversal and Missing Authorization in cloud-storage source in Google Cloud MCP Toolbox for Databases (googleapis/mcp-toolbox) versions 1.2.0 through 1.4.0 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to exfiltrate host files to external Google Cloud Storage buckets and overwrite arbitrary local files via crafted tool invocation parameters. |
| Rclone before 1.75.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the local backend's translateLink function, which trims the .rclonelink suffix from a path after the containment check, so a name can resolve outside the destination root. Attackers can plant a directory named ...rclonelink in a source tree synced with --links and --metadata to change ownership, timestamps, and xattrs of the destination's parent directory. |
| Rclone before 1.75.2 contains a path traversal vulnerability in serve webdav that allows unauthenticated attackers to write above the served root by sending an unvalidated '..' path component. Attackers can send MKCOL /.. to plant a VFS node, then PUT, MOVE, COPY, or MKCOL to create, overwrite, or delete files belonging to other tenants. |
| SiYuan 3.5.4 before 3.8.7 on Windows contains a sensitive-path denylist bypass in IsSensitivePath because the Windows extended-length prefix (\\?\) survives filepath.Clean and matches no forbidden prefix. Authenticated API callers can prepend the prefix to localPath in /api/import/importStdMd to copy workspace conf files, including the API token and TLS private keys, into assets served to unauthenticated clients. |
| A flaw has been found in halo-dev halo up to 2.27.0-beta.1. Affected by this vulnerability is the function run.halo.app.theme.DefaultViewNameResolver.resolveViewNameOrDefault of the file application/src/main/java/run/halo/app/theme/DefaultViewNameResolver.java of the component View Name Resolver. Executing a manipulation of the argument template can lead to path traversal. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Hugo before v0.167.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in css.Sass that allows malicious themes or modules to read files outside the project root through the Sass compiler's import fallback. Attackers can ship stylesheets with relative, absolute, or symlinked @import or @use targets to compile readable files into the published site CSS. |
| A vulnerability was identified in zhijiantianya ruoyi-vue-pro 2.4.1. Affected is an unknown function of the file /admin-api/infra/file/upload of the component Backend File Upload Interface. Such manipulation of the argument path leads to path traversal. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The name of the patch is 4ae3f6b2c9883978837638c14e3d18419819eeb0. Applying a patch is advised to resolve this issue. |
| A vulnerability was determined in zhijiantianya ruoyi-vue-pro 2.4.1. This impacts an unknown function of the file /app-api/infra/file/upload of the component Front-End Store Interface. This manipulation of the argument path causes path traversal. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. Patch name: 4ae3f6b2c9883978837638c14e3d18419819eeb0. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. |
| zip is a zip library for Rust that supports reading and writing simple ZIP files. From 7.2.0 until 9.0.0, ZipArchive::extract and ZipArchive::extract_unwrapped_root_dir use safe_prepare_path in src/read/zipfile.rs and simplified_components in src/path.rs to validate symbolic link targets with a lexical prefix comparison rather than resolving each intermediate link. An attacker who knows or can guess the absolute extraction destination can create a chain whose apparent target remains under the destination while an intermediate symlink resolves outside it, allowing attacker-controlled files to be created or overwritten with the extracting process's privileges. On Windows, discarded drive and UNC prefixes can permit a single-link escape when the process has SeCreateSymbolicLinkPrivilege, such as through administrator rights or Developer Mode. This regression is distinct from CVE-2025-29787. This issue is fixed in version 9.0.0. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Apache Camel Docling component.
This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.15.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.2.
DoclingProducer builds the command line of the external docling tool and appends to it the custom arguments supplied in the CamelDoclingCustomArguments header, a list of strings whose flags the fix for CVE-2026-40047 restricted to an allowlist. That fix also introduced validatePathSafety to keep path-like argument values inside the intended directory, but the method only looked for relative traversal: it rejected a value containing a traversal sequence such as ../ and a value whose normalized form still held a .. element. It never checked whether a value was an absolute path, and an absolute path without traversal segments contains neither, so it passed unchanged. Every path-like value went through this check, whether it was a separate list element following its flag or was attached to the flag after an equals sign, so an absolute path was accepted in either form, for example as the directory given to the allowlisted --artifacts-path flag, which tells docling where to find its model artifacts. Such a value reached the docling command line as given, so a party able to choose the custom arguments could point the docling process at any directory the Camel process can access, outside the working directory that the check was meant to keep path values in, which is the outcome the CVE-2026-40047 fix set out to prevent. Only the CLI mode, which is the default, passes custom arguments to docling. The header belongs to the Camel header namespace, which consumers applying Camel's default header filtering, such as the JMS and Kafka consumers, remove from incoming messages, so the issue is reached where a route forwards externally influenced values into the header or where a consumer maps incoming headers without that filtering.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. If users are on the 4.22.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.22.2. If users are on the 4.18.x releases stream, then they are suggested to upgrade to 4.18.5. The 4.15.x to 4.17.x and 4.19.x to 4.21.x release lines reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on them must move to a supported release. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, do not build the CamelDoclingCustomArguments header from values that originate outside the deployment, remove that header from messages that arrive from outside before they reach a docling endpoint, and make sure that consumers which map incoming message headers drop the Camel header namespace, so that only the route itself chooses the custom arguments. |
| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Innotim Software, Telecommunications, and Consulting Co. Ltd. Logsign SIEM allows Path Traversal.
This issue affects Logsign SIEM: from 6.4.120 before 6.4.122. |
| This issue affects Apache SIS from version 0.7 through 1.6 inclusive. When a data file contains links to other files, Apache SIS opened these files regardless their paths. It was possible, for example, to specify a path to a local file. However, these files were always expected to be in some specific formats and the reading stops at the first parsing error, which makes this vulnerability unlikely to leak sensitive information. The impacted formats are:
* Geographic Markup Language (GML) with `xlink:href` attributes for other files in GML format.
* Well Known Text (WKT) with parameter elements for datum shift grids in NADCON, NTv2 or RGF93 formats.
* Landsat scene with paths to files for each band in the GeoTIFF format.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.7, which fixes the issue by restricting the paths to the same directory as the file containing the references to other files, or to a predetermined directory for datum shift grids. |
| Wazuh from 4.1.1 before 4.14.8 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the get_lists() and delete_list_file() CDB list handlers that allows compromised cluster workers to read or delete master files. Attackers can send traversal or absolute-path filenames through the internal cluster RPC path, bypassing REST validation and RBAC to delete files like rbac.db. |
