| CVE-2026-63858 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-26 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: add hook transactions for device deletions Restore the flag that indicates that the hook is going away, ie. NFT_HOOK_REMOVE, but add a new transaction object to track deletion of hooks without altering the basechain/flowtable hook_list during the preparation phase. The existing approach that moves the hook from the basechain/flowtable hook_list to transaction hook_list breaks netlink dump path readers of this RCU-protected list. It should be possible use an array for nft_trans_hook to store the deleted hooks to compact the representation but I am not expecting many hook object, specially now that wildcard support for devices is in place. Note that the nft_trans_chain_hooks() list contains a list of struct nft_trans_hook objects for DELCHAIN and DELFLOWTABLE commands, while this list stores struct nft_hook objects for NEWCHAIN and NEWFLOWTABLE. Note that new commands can be updated to use nft_trans_hook for consistency. This patch also adapts the event notification path to deal with the list of hook transactions. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: udp: Create exceptions before socket matching Currently, when ICMP Fragmentation Needed and Redirect Message packets are locally delivered and quote a UDP packet, a FIB nexthop exception (FNHE) is only created if the kernel can match the UDP packet to an existing socket. This behavior allows off-path attackers to conduct a side-channel attack on the FNHE cache in order to discover the ephemeral port used by a connected UDP socket. Commit 6457378fe796 ("ipv4: use siphash instead of Jenkins in fnhe_hashfun()") and commit 67d6d681e15b ("ipv4: make exception cache less predictible") tried to mitigate such attacks by making it harder for attackers to discover hash collisions in the FNHE cache and by randomizing the number of exceptions a hash bucket can hold, respectively. Unfortunately, both of the mitigations can be bypassed. Instead, mitigate such attacks by always creating a FNHE, even before trying to find a matching socket. Do that by calling ipv4_update_pmtu() and ipv4_redirect(), the helpers used when the quoted packet did not originate from a socket. This means that guesses (right or wrong) from an off-path attacker will always result in a FNHE being created or updated in the cache that the attacker can observe. Pass an oif of 0, in a similar fashion to icmp_err(). This is also the oif used by the socket path for sockets that are not bound to a device. Note that this does not allow attackers to create FNHEs that they could not create before, as both helpers can already be reached with little to no validation. For example, by sending an ICMP error that quotes an ICMP Echo Reply or one that quotes a UDP source port that matches a wildcard socket. Also note that in the good case (matched socket) the above scheme comes at the cost of an extra route lookup, as the no socket helpers perform their own lookup before the one performed by ipv4_sk_update_pmtu() / ipv4_sk_redirect(). When the two resolve to different nexthops, it also results in two exceptions being created for the same destination IP. One in the FNHE cache of the nexthop resolved by the no socket helpers and another in the FNHE cache of the nexthop used by the socket. | ||||
| CVE-2026-98166 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-26 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/ttm: fix swapped-out resources never leaving their bulk_move range ttm_tt_swapout() returns the number of pages swapped out on success and a negative error code on failure; for a populated ttm it never returns zero. Commit b2ed01e7ad3d ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_swapout() infinite LRU walk on swapout failure") moved the bulk_move bookkeeping in ttm_bo_swapout_cb() under "if (!ret)", so the ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() / ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() pair is now skipped on every successful swapout. The equivalent change for the shrinker in commit 1d59f36e95f7 ("drm/ttm: Fix ttm_bo_shrink() infinite LRU walk on backup failure") tests "lret > 0", which is what was intended here as well. Before b2ed01e7ad3d the resource was taken off the bulk_move before the swapout; since then a swapped-out resource stays inside its BO's bulk_move range (and on the manager LRU) although it is unevictable. When it is later freed or the BO leaves the bulk_move (ttm_resource_free(), ttm_bo_set_bulk_move() via amdgpu_vm_bo_del()), ttm_resource_del_bulk_move() skips it because of its !ttm_resource_unevictable() guard, so a range endpoint in pos->first / pos->last is left pointing at freed memory. The next ttm_lru_bulk_move_tail() or ttm_resource_add_bulk_move() on that cursor is a use-after-free, seen as the resv WARN in ttm_lru_bulk_move_add(), "list_del corruption" in ttm_resource_move_to_lru_tail() or a NULL dereference in ttm_resource_manager_next() -- minutes to hours after a hibernation, or at process exit / reboot following one. Samuel Ainsworth's analysis of drm/amd issue 5387 (see Link) identified the dangling cursor; the missing removal at swapout time is the reason it dangles. Testing the condition for success restores the removal. On an AMD Phoenix APU (ASUS UM3406GA, gfx1103) running suspend-then-hibernate on a 7.0.y stable kernel carrying the backport (Ubuntu 7.0.0-31) the bug crashed 5 of 18 hibernation cycles; a function profile of one hibernation showed 336 ttm_tt_swapout() calls and zero ttm_resource_del_bulk_move_unevictable() calls. With this change the removal happens for every swapped-out resource and 12 further cycles were clean. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regcache: Do not overwrite error code when finalizing cache after error During regcache initialization, if an error occurs in the cache_ops->populate callback, and if cache operations include an exit callback, the error code from populate() is overwritten with the return value from exit(). This hides the error condition from the caller of regcache_init(), and can cause NULL pointer dereferences when the regcache is later accessed. | ||||
| CVE-2026-31775 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-26 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: ctxfi: Don't enumerate SPDIF1 at DAIO initialization The recent refactoring of xfi driver changed the assignment of atc->daios[] at atc_get_resources(); now it loops over all enum DAIOTYP entries while it looped formerly only a part of them. The problem is that the last entry, SPDIF1, is a special type that is used only for hw20k1 CTSB073X model (as a replacement of SPDIFIO), and there is no corresponding definition for hw20k2. Due to the lack of the info, it caused a kernel crash on hw20k2, which was already worked around by the commit b045ab3dff97 ("ALSA: ctxfi: Fix missing SPDIFI1 index handling"). This patch addresses the root cause of the regression above properly, simply by skipping the incorrect SPDIF1 type in the parser loop. For making the change clearer, the code is slightly arranged, too. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: fix ntfs_mount_options leak in ntfs_fill_super() In ntfs_fill_super(), the fc->fs_private pointer is set to NULL without first freeing the memory it points to. This causes the subsequent call to ntfs_fs_free() to skip freeing the ntfs_mount_options structure. This results in a kmemleak report: unreferenced object 0xff1100015378b800 (size 32): comm "mount", pid 582, jiffies 4294890685 hex dump (first 32 bytes): 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ................ 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 ed ff ed ff 00 04 00 00 ................ backtrace (crc ed541d8c): __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x424/0x5a0 __ntfs_init_fs_context+0x47/0x590 alloc_fs_context+0x5d8/0x960 __x64_sys_fsopen+0xb1/0x190 do_syscall_64+0x50/0x1f0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e This issue can be reproduced using the following commands: fallocate -l 100M test.file mount test.file /tmp/test Since sbi->options is duplicated from fc->fs_private and does not directly use the memory allocated for fs_private, it is unnecessary to set fc->fs_private to NULL. Additionally, this patch simplifies the code by utilizing the helper function put_mount_options() instead of open-coding the cleanup logic. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: freevxfs: don't BUG() on unknown typed-extent type vxfs_bmap_typed() handles four typed-extent types and calls BUG() in its default case, so an on-disk typed extent with any other type value crashes the kernel. It is reachable from ioctl(FIBMAP) on a regular file: kernel BUG at fs/freevxfs/vxfs_bmap.c:230! RIP: vxfs_bmap_typed fs/freevxfs/vxfs_bmap.c:230 [inline] vxfs_bmap1+0x128a/0x12d0 fs/freevxfs/vxfs_bmap.c:257 Replace the BUG() with WARN_ON_ONCE() and return 0 -- the value vxfs_bmap_typed() already returns on failure (and from the DEV4 case above); vxfs_getblk() maps 0 to -EIO, so the ioctl fails cleanly. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: don't WARN on WoWLAN suspend w/o netdetect Clearly, from a user perspective, it must be valid to configure WoWLAN and then suspend while not connected to a network. Since mac80211 doesn't distinguish these cases and simply calls the driver to suspend whenever WoWLAN is configured, the driver has to cleanly handle the case where it's called for WoWLAN, it's not connected but there's also no netdetect configured. Remove the WARN_ON() and keep returning 1 to disconnect and then suspend. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63942 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-26 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: parport: Fix race between port and client registration The parport subsystem registers port devices before they are fully initialised, resulting in a race condition where client drivers such as lp can attach to ports that are not completely initialised or even being torn down. When the port and client drivers are built as modules and loaded around the same time during boot, this occasionally results in a crash. I was able to make this happen reliably in a VM with a PC-style parallel port by patching parport_pc to fail probing: > --- a/drivers/parport/parport_pc.c > +++ b/drivers/parport/parport_pc.c > @@ -2069,7 +2069,7 @@ static struct parport *__parport_pc_probe_port(unsigned long int base, > if (!p) > goto out3; > > - base_res = request_region(base, 3, p->name); > + base_res = NULL; > if (!base_res) > goto out4; > and then running: while true; do modprobe lp & modprobe parport_pc wait rmmod lp parport_pc done for a few seconds. In the long term I think port registration should be changed to put the call to device_add() inside parport_announce_port(), but since the latter currently cannot fail this will require changing all port drivers. For now, add a flag to indicate whether a port has been "announced" and only try to attach client drivers to ports when the flag is set. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63944 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-26 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sync: fix UAF in hci_le_create_cis_sync hci_le_create_cis_sync() dereferences conn->conn_timeout after releasing both rcu_read_lock() and hci_dev_lock(hdev). The conn pointer was obtained from an RCU-protected iteration over hdev->conn_hash.list and is not valid once these locks are dropped. A concurrent disconnect can free the hci_conn between the unlock and the dereference, causing a use-after-free read. The cancellation mechanism in hci_conn_del() cannot prevent this because hci_le_create_cis_pending() queues hci_create_cis_sync with data=NULL: hci_cmd_sync_queue(hdev, hci_create_cis_sync, NULL, NULL); While hci_conn_del() dequeues with data=conn: hci_cmd_sync_dequeue(hdev, NULL, conn, NULL); Since NULL != conn, the lookup in _hci_cmd_sync_lookup_entry() never matches, and the pending work item is not cancelled. Fix this by saving conn->conn_timeout into a local variable while the locks are still held, so the stale conn pointer is never dereferenced after unlock. This is the same class of bug as the one fixed by commit 035c25007c9e ("Bluetooth: hci_sync: Fix UAF on le_read_features_complete") which addressed the identical pattern in a different function. This vulnerability was identified using 0sec.ai, an open-source automated security auditing platform (https://github.com/0sec-labs). | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: serialize iso_sock_clear_timer with socket lock iso_sock_close() calls iso_sock_clear_timer() before acquiring lock_sock(sk). iso_sock_clear_timer() reads iso_pi(sk)->conn twice without the socket lock held: if (!iso_pi(sk)->conn) return; cancel_delayed_work(&iso_pi(sk)->conn->timeout_work); Concurrently, iso_conn_del() executes under lock_sock(sk) and calls iso_chan_del(), which sets iso_pi(sk)->conn to NULL and may result in the final reference to the connection being dropped: CPU0 CPU1 ---- ---- iso_sock_clear_timer() if (conn != NULL) ... lock_sock(sk) iso_chan_del() iso_pi(sk)->conn = NULL cancel_delayed_work(conn) /* NULL deref or UAF */ iso_pi(sk)->conn is not stable across the unlock window, causing a NULL pointer dereference or use-after-free. Serialize iso_sock_clear_timer() with the socket lock by moving it inside lock_sock()/release_sock(), matching the pattern used in iso_conn_del() and all other call sites. | ||||
