CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
riscv: ptrace: Zero-initialize regset buffers before copyin
user_regset_copyin() only copies `count` bytes, so a PTRACE_SETREGSET
request with a short iov_len leaves the rest of the stack buffer
uninitialized. In riscv_vr_set() that garbage is validated and copied
into the target's vstate, and in riscv_cfi_set() it can be stored as
the target's shadow stack pointer. Zero both buffers, as the get path
already does. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: zero pipe read compound padding
Compound response handling extends the last response iov to an eight-byte
boundary.
smb2_read_pipe() allocates only the payload size, so the alignment padding
can expose up to seven bytes of uninitialized kernel heap memory.
Allocate the aligned size and clear the unused tail before pinning the
response buffer. |
| Mozilla Firefox 2.x before 2.0.0.1, 1.5.x before 1.5.0.9, Thunderbird before 1.5.0.9, and SeaMonkey before 1.0.7 allows remote attackers to bypass cross-site scripting (XSS) protection by changing the src attribute of an IMG element to a javascript: URI. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in the Java Plug-in for Sun JDK and JRE 6 Update 4 and earlier, and 5.0 Update 14 and earlier; and SDK and JRE 1.4.2_16 and earlier, and 1.3.1_21 and earlier; allows remote attackers to bypass the same origin policy and "execute local applications" via unknown vectors. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Sun JDK and Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4 and earlier and 5.0 Update 14 and earlier; and SDK and JRE 1.4.2_16 and earlier; allows remote attackers to access arbitrary network services on the local host via unspecified vectors related to JavaScript and Java APIs. |
| A flaw was found in curl before version 7.51. If cookie state is written into a cookie jar file that is later read back and used for subsequent requests, a malicious HTTP server can inject new cookies for arbitrary domains into said cookie jar. |
| TippingPoint IPS running the TippingPoint Operating System (TOS) before 2.2.4.6519 allows remote attackers to "force the device into layer 2 fallback (L2FB)", causing a denial of service (page fault), via a malformed packet. |
| Apache Tomcat may be started without proper security settings if errors are encountered while reading the web.xml file, which could allow attackers to bypass intended restrictions. |
| Microsoft Excel 97 and 2000 does not warn the user when executing Excel Macro Language (XLM) macros in external text files, which could allow an attacker to execute a macro virus, aka the "XLM Text Macro" vulnerability. |
| Vulnerability of design defects in the security algorithm component. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect confidentiality. |
| Event handlers on "marquee" elements were executed despite a strict Content Security Policy (CSP) that disallowed inline JavaScript. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50.1, Firefox ESR < 45.6, and Thunderbird < 45.6. |
| External resources that should be blocked when loaded by SVG images can bypass security restrictions through the use of "data:" URLs. This could allow for cross-domain data leakage. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 50.1, Firefox ESR < 45.6, and Thunderbird < 45.6. |
| Beckhoff Embedded PC images before 2014-10-22 and Automation Device Specification (ADS) TwinCAT components do not restrict the number of authentication attempts, which makes it easier for remote attackers to obtain access via a brute-force attack. |
| Eaton Cooper Power Systems ProView 4.0 and 5.0 before 5.0 11 on Form 6 controls and Idea and IdeaPLUS relays generates TCP initial sequence number (ISN) values linearly, which makes it easier for remote attackers to spoof TCP sessions by predicting an ISN value. |
| An issue was discovered in osquery. A maliciously crafted Universal/fat binary can evade third-party code signing checks. By not completing full inspection of the Universal/fat binary, the user of the third-party tool will believe that the code is signed by Apple, but the malicious unsigned code will execute. This issue affects osquery prior to v3.2.7 |
| An issue was discovered in Pivotal GemFire for PCF 1.6.x versions prior to 1.6.5 and 1.7.x versions prior to 1.7.1. The gfsh (Geode Shell) endpoint, used by operators and application developers to connect to their cluster, is unauthenticated and publicly accessible. Because HTTPS communications are terminated at the gorouter, communications from the gorouter to GemFire clusters are unencrypted. An attacker could run any command available on gfsh and could cause denial of service, lost confidentiality of data, escalate privileges, or eavesdrop on other communications between the gorouter and the cluster. |
| IBM WebSphere Message Broker 9.0 and 10.0 could allow a remote attacker to hijack the clicking action of the victim. By persuading a victim to visit a malicious Web site, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to hijack the victim's click actions and possibly launch further attacks against the victim. IBM Reference #: 1997906. |
| OpenNTPD before 6.0p1 does not validate the CN for HTTPS constraint requests, which allows remote attackers to bypass the man-in-the-middle mitigations via a crafted timestamp constraint with a valid certificate. |
| reseed seeds random numbers from an insecure HTTP request to random.org during installation, which makes it easier for remote attackers to defeat cryptographic protection mechanisms via a man-in-the-middle attack. |
| Extbase in TYPO3 4.3.0 before 6.2.24, 7.x before 7.6.8, and 8.1.1 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted Extbase action. |
