CVSS v3.1 |
| A NULL pointer dereference in the StatSFVec2f function (/scene_manager/scene_stats.c) of GPAC Project/MP4Box before 2.5 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted MPEG-4 file. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in the gf_ac4_presentation_ch_mode function (/media_tools/av_parsers.c) of GPAC Project/MP4Box before 2.5 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted AC4 file. |
| In the Bluetooth Classic Hands-Free Profile Audio Gateway role, hfp_ag_create() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/hfp_ag.c starts an SDP discovery toward the peer, which links the embedded ag->sdp_param._node into the SDP client's pending request list in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/sdp.c. If the subsequent bt_rfcomm_dlc_connect() call fails, bt_hfp_ag_connect() cleaned up by memset()-ing the entire AG object while that node was still linked, and while ag->slc_work could still be queued on the system work queue. An in-flight SDP discovery cannot be cancelled — bt_sdp_discover_cancel() is declared in the public header but has no implementation — so the request stays in the list with its func, pool and uuid pointers zeroed.
The RFCOMM channel passed to bt_hfp_ag_connect() is taken from the peer's own SDP Hands-Free service record in the normal AG flow (bt_sdp_get_proto_param() performs no range validation, and samples/bluetooth/classic/handsfree_ag feeds the value straight through), so a remote BR/EDR device in radio range that advertises an RFCOMM channel outside the valid range 0x01..0x1e deterministically forces bt_rfcomm_dlc_connect() to fail and reach the wipe. Reading the peer's SDP record requires no pairing, and the peer can also trigger the failure by dropping the ACL or racing an RFCOMM DLC on the same DLCI at the right moment.
When the SDP client next advances its request list, sdp_client_discover() dereferences the zeroed parameters — net_buf_alloc(param->pool, …) with a NULL pool and param->uuid->type — and the result-notification paths call through the NULL params->func. Zeroing a linked node also truncates the request list behind a stale tail pointer, and re-arming the freed AG slot re-appends the same node and can produce a self-looping list that hangs the Bluetooth RX thread. The impact is a crash or hang of the Bluetooth stack; the written value is a constant zero at a fixed static address, so no attacker-controlled write is available.
Only builds with CONFIG_BT_CLASSIC and CONFIG_BT_HFP_AG that use the Audio Gateway role are affected. |
| A malicious or compromised HTTP/2 server withholding SETTINGS ACK can send RST_STREAM on a completed stream, planting a null pointer, and then send a PUSH_PROMISE for that stream, causing a null pointer dereference in the QNetworkAccessManager class of the Qt Network module that crashes the application. |
| SOEM version 2.0.0 and earlier contains a vulnerability where a malicious device can crash the master system. When the software receives an error response, it clears an internal pointer but continues processing. If another message arrives before timeout, the software attempts to use the cleared pointer, causing a crash. An attacker can trigger this with a simple sequence of two messages. |
| libansilove 1.3.0 through 1.4.2 contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in ansilove_xbin() that allows attackers to crash applications by supplying a crafted XBIN file. Attackers can set the 512-character flag without the custom-font flag, causing drawchar() to index a NULL high_font_data_xbin pointer and terminate the process. |
| Open Asset Import Library (assimp) through 6.0.5 contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in the Ogre3D binary mesh importer's OgreBinarySerializer::ReadAnimationKeyFrames() handling of unvalidated animation track targets. Attackers can supply a crafted .mesh file with a morph animation track targeting a missing submesh or absent shared geometry to crash the host process. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
regcache: Do not overwrite error code when finalizing cache after error
During regcache initialization, if an error occurs in the
cache_ops->populate callback, and if cache operations include an exit
callback, the error code from populate() is overwritten with the return
value from exit(). This hides the error condition from the caller of
regcache_init(), and can cause NULL pointer dereferences when the regcache
is later accessed. |

It crashes because we have not initialized libeth for the rx ring.
Fix it by treating ICE_VSI_LB VSIs slightly more like normal PF VSIs and
letting them have a q_vector. It's just a dummy, because the loopback
test does not use interrupts, but it contains a napi struct that can be
passed to libeth_rx_fq_create() called from ice_vsi_cfg_rxq() ->
ice_rxq_pp_create(). |
| A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was found in gssproxy. When a GSSX_INIT_SEC_CONTEXT request is received with the target_name field absent, the daemon dereferences the resulting NULL pointer and crashes. The request requires no authentication, allowing any local user to crash the gssproxy daemon via its Unix socket. The daemon does not automatically restart, resulting in a persistent denial of service that also affects dependent services such as Kerberized NFS and IdM. |
| The MySQL client response parser in Apache bRPC dereferences a null pointer when the server peer sends a zero-payload-length response packet. A response packet whose declared payload length is zero is accepted by the frame-length check (is_full_package), after which the parser reads the response type byte via an unbounded 5-byte fetch that returns nullptr, and type = p[4] dereferences it, crashing the client process.
Root Cause: In brpc::policy::MysqlReply::ConsumePartialIOBuf, buf.fetch(header, 5) returns nullptr when the buffered data only holds the 4-byte header of a zero-length packet, then the code reads p[4] (and, in the fast-auth path, p2[4]) without checking for a null or zero-length packet.
Affected Scenarios: A brpc MySQL client connecting to a malicious or compromised MySQL server (or a MITM) can be crashed by a zero-length server response packet, resulting in denial of service of the client.
Fix: The fix rejects zero-length response packets (returning PARSE_ERROR_ABSOLUTELY_WRONG) both for the initial response type determination and after a fast-auth marker, before reading the type byte. Upgrade to the Apache bRPC version 1.18.0 or apply the PR patch at https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3536. |
| NULL pointer dereference in the RTMP protocol implementation in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows remote attackers to crash the server (denial of service) via a crafted createStream command.
Root Cause:
When an RTMP service rejects a createStream request by returning a null stream from RtmpService::NewStream(), the server sends an error response to the client. If writing this rejection response fails (for example, because the client closes the connection immediately after sending the createStream command), the error-handling path in RtmpChunkStream::OnCreateStream() dereferences the null stream pointer to access stream->_onfail_id, causing the process to crash.
Affected Scenarios:
Run an Apache bRPC RTMP server whose RtmpService::NewStream() may return null (i.e., the service rejects createStream requests). A remote client that sends a createStream command and then closes the connection before the rejection response is written can crash the server.
How to Fix:
(Choose one of the following options)
1. Upgrade bRPC to version 1.18.0, which fixes this issue.
2. Apply this patch: https://github.com/apache/brpc/pull/3508 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: ISO: serialize iso_sock_clear_timer with socket lock
iso_sock_close() calls iso_sock_clear_timer() before acquiring
lock_sock(sk).
iso_sock_clear_timer() reads iso_pi(sk)->conn twice without the
socket lock held:
if (!iso_pi(sk)->conn)
return;
cancel_delayed_work(&iso_pi(sk)->conn->timeout_work);
Concurrently, iso_conn_del() executes under lock_sock(sk) and calls
iso_chan_del(), which sets iso_pi(sk)->conn to NULL and may result in
the final reference to the connection being dropped:
CPU0 CPU1
---- ----
iso_sock_clear_timer()
if (conn != NULL) ... lock_sock(sk)
iso_chan_del()
iso_pi(sk)->conn = NULL
cancel_delayed_work(conn) /* NULL deref or UAF */
iso_pi(sk)->conn is not stable across the unlock window, causing a
NULL pointer dereference or use-after-free.
Serialize iso_sock_clear_timer() with the socket lock by moving it
inside lock_sock()/release_sock(), matching the pattern used in
iso_conn_del() and all other call sites. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
host1x: bus: Fix missing ops null check in error teardown
In host1x_device_init(), the error teardown paths do not check
client->ops before dereferencing it, unlike the forward init paths
which correctly guard with 'client->ops &&'. This can result in a
NULL pointer dereference if client->ops is NULL.
Fix by adding the missing client->ops check in both the teardown
and teardown_late labels. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/nouveau/gsp: add SEC2 to GA100 chip table
The booter-load and booter-unload firmware run on the SEC2 falcon.
During tu102_gsp_oneinit(), the booter constructor needs device->sec2
to access the SEC2 falcon.
Without the .sec2 entry, device->sec2 is NULL and this dereference
crashes during GSP-RM boot. |
| A NULL pointer dereference in the gf_filter_pid_resolve_file_template_ex function (/filter_core/filter_pid.c) of GPAC Project/MP4Box before 26.02.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted file. |
| ImageMagick before 6.9.13-58 and 7.x before 7.1.2-33 contains a null pointer dereference in the DJVU decoder because the result of a memory allocation is not checked before use. Attackers can supply a DJVU image that, when processed under conditions where the allocation fails, crashes the process and causes a denial of service. |
| A flaw was found in m17n-lib. An attacker could provide specially crafted or truncated UTF-8 input to trigger an unhandled null pointer dereference during text processing. This issue causes the application to crash unexpectedly, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| A flaw was found in libhangul. When parsing Hanja dictionary files, the library fails to verify that an entry contains a valid value alongside its key. By providing a specially crafted dictionary file to an application that queries it, an attacker can trigger an unexpected application crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| Null pointer dereference in Windows Clipboard Server allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
